Milk production in the North-eastern Austria is a very important business; therefore the company Berglandmilch reg. Gen. m.b.H. in Aschbach, Lower Austria, decided to enlarge their central processing plant for milk, cream cheese, yogurt and butter.
600,000 to 800,000 litres of milk a day are delivered to the plant and a large part of it processed directly onsite. To handle these large quantities appropriately, the processing and storage capacities were extended by 50% in 2002. Güntner NH3 evaporators of the series ADHN are in use in a refrigerated warehouse and in a cooling tunnel, where yogurt is cooled down from 25 °C to 6 °C.
